Rafael dos Anjos is the new Lightweight champion after completely working Anthony Pettis in the main event of UFC 185 last night inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
On the feet, on the ground, in the clinch ... it didn't matter. Pettis simply had no answers for the Brazilian, who swept "Showtime" on all three judges scorecards after a utterly impressive rout of the Wheaties- and Reebok-sponsored superstar.
Indeed, Pettis was supposed to win. And win impressively. But, he didn't even come close, unable to get anything going because of the Brazilian's suffocating pressure. Pettis, who offered "no excuses" in his post-fight interview, revealed that he could not see out of his right eye the entire fight...
