Bobby Lashley signs multi-fight contract extension with Bellator MMA

Unbeaten in two Bellator fights thus far, Bellator MMA has decided to double down on heavyweight fighter and professional wrestler Bobby Lashley, keeping him in the fold with a long term contract extension.

He's been successful in each of his Bellator MMA fights so far, stopping Josh Burns with a rear naked choke at Bellator 123, and finishing Karl Etherington via strikes at Bellator 130.

That's all Bellator MMA needed to know to offer a long term contract extension.

Franklin Roberto "Bobby" Lashley has taken the pen and put ink to paper to further his relationship with his other promotional relationship. He still works in sports entertainment on a part time basis for Impact Wrestling, despite the relationship between TNA and Spike TV being severed in 2014.

If it doesn't bother Bellator that he continues to take suplexes and slams outside their cage it doesn't bother "The Dominator" either.

"I've had two fights with Bellator, and I'm happy to be calling the promotion my home. Scott Coker and the company have really reignited my desire to fight and I'm looking forward to a huge year with some dominant wins."

Lashley was expected to fight James "The Colossus" Thompson at the British Invasion in February, but as The Roots and Chinua Achebe both famously said, "Things Fall Apart." His next fight has yet to be announced.

Any guesses who the heavyweight behemoth could meet inside the cage next?
