UFC flyweight contender Jussier Formiga has been sidelined with injury for several months, but he wants a return fight against top prospect Henry Cejudo this summer.
Brazilian flyweight Jussier Formiga (17-3) hasn't had the greatest of starts to his UFC career. The highly touted BJJ specialist out of Nova Uniao was stopped in 2 of his first 3 Octagon bouts, but has since come up with consecutive wins over Scott Jorgensen and Zach Makovsky. Formiga has been out of action since last August, having been forced to pull out of a December match-up vs. John Moraga due to a knee injury.
With undefeated prospect Henry Cejudo (8-0) all but assured a spot on UFC 188 in Mexico City this June, Formiga went on Twitter to express interest in facing him this summer:

Cejudo angled for a UFC 188 appearance following his flyweight debut win over Chris Cariaso at UFC 185, and Dana White effectively granted his request at he post-fight press conference. Formiga is 4th in the latest UFC rankings, while the 2008 Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling comes in at #10. If the UFC is really serious about pushing Cejudo as an instant title contender in the division then this seems like a nice step-up for him after beating Cariaso. All that remains to be seen is whether or not Sean Shelby will book the fight.
UFC 188 is headlined by a main event heavyweight unification title bout between champion Cain Velasquez and interim champion Fabricio Werdum.
