M-1 Global announced a knight fight between Evgeniy Bedenko and Ivan Vasliev is scheduled to take place on their upcoming M-1 Challenge 56 event in Moscow.
While the headlining attraction of M-1 Global's upcoming fight card is the middleweight title fight rematch, the promotion has added another feature attraction to the card: a knight fight between Evgeniy Bedenko and Ivan Vasliev.
According to the promotion, Bedenko (6-1) is welterweight who represents the knight club Zapadnaya Bashnya (Western Tower) from Kaliningrad city. Bedenko's most impressive wins took place at the White Castle tournament and "Clash of Nations" tournament where he had become "vice-champion."
Bedenko will clash with Bayard fight club's Vasliev, who is 2 times Russian champion (2013 and 2014), vice champion of "White Castle" tourney and multiple prize-holder of "Clash of Nations" at one-on-one fight category. The Moscow local holds a 11-2 professional record.
This marks the fourth knight fight that M-1 will put on at their events, and the first since they announced the ‘M-1 Medieval' knight fighting project. The first knight fight, which took place at M-1 Challenge 50: Battle on Neva, featured five-time World Champion Sergei Ukolov against America's Michael Ivey. Ukolov was awarded the victory. This was followed by two more knight fights at the following event, which took place in the mountainous terrains of Ingushetia. Ukolov was present and earned his second victory over Maxim Plaksin.
M-1 Challenge 56 is scheduled to take place April 10 in Moscow, Russia.
