As a reminder, a new edition of “Fighter’s Cut” will debut tonight featuring UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw.
The 30-minute special premiers at 9 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 and is part of the cable network’s “UFC 10-Day Takedown Marathon,” which features original UFC programming in prime time each night for 10 nights. The nightly marathon began Wednesday.
Tonight’s show highlights Dillashaw as he relives some of his most memorable fights on the way to the UFC’s 135-pound title, which he won this past May with a dominant TKO over Renan Barao, then considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.
Dillashaw (11-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) next rematches Barao (33-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) in the UFC 186 main event next month in Montreal. UFC 186 takes place April 25 at the city’s Bell Centre. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
After Dillashaw dominated Barao at UFC 173, he was scheduled to fight him again at UFC 177. But Barao struggled to make weight and had to be hospitalized. He was pulled from the event on weigh-ins day, and Joe Soto took his place. Dillashaw stopped him with a fifth-round knockout for his first title defense.
