Tickets on sale today for UFC 188 in Mexico City, $585 gets you cageside

Tickets go on sale to the general public today for June’s UFC 188 in Mexico City, featuring a heavyweight title unification fight at the top of the bill.


UFC 188 takes place June 13 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.


After winning the interim heavyweight title in Mexico this past November, Fabricio Werdum (19-5-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will get a chance to unify the UFC heavyweight belts there against champion Cain Velasquez (13-1 MMA, 11-1 UFC).


Tickets are available at Super Boletos and range in price from $29 to get in the door to $585 for cageside seats ($448 to $8,946 Mexican pesos).


Tickets go on sale to the general public today at 10 a.m. CT local time.


Velasquez is ranked No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings and No. 5 on the pound-for-pound list. Werdum is No. 3.


The card also features a co-main event between former Bellator MMA lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez (25-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and former Strikeforce titleholder Gilbert Melendez (22-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC).
