DALLAS – It’s not often that a title challenger makes a fight look like a mismatch against the champion, but that’s what Joanna Jedrzejczyk did to Carla Esparza.
Jedrzejczyk (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) dominated Esparza (10-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in the striking game from the get-go – just what she expected to do – and stifled Esparza’s wrestling game on her way to a second-round TKO to win the women’s strawweight title.
