The finishes are coming fast and furious at UFC 185. In the final two bouts of the televised prelims, Elias Theodorou and Ross Pearson picked up TKO wins in their respective bouts.
This is getting a bit redundant at this point, but the finishes just keep coming at UFC 185. All seven of the bouts that have been contested so far have ended by TKO or submission, with the two most recent wins going to TUF Nations winner Elias Theodorou and TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson. Here's how it went down.
Ross Pearson defeated Sam Stout by TKO (strikes), 2:11 of round 2
Pearson was getting the best of the striking over the entire course of the fight, even getting Stout to acknowledge solid shots on multiple occasions. It wasn't a blowout, but it was clearly leaning in Pearson's direction. Then in the middle of the second round, he absolutely leveled Stout with a perfect left hook. Stout went down and ate two more hard shots before the referee jumped in. Pearson rebounded from his loss to Al Iaquinta, while Stout has now lost three of his last four bouts.
Elias Theodorou defeated Roger Narvaez by TKO (strikes), 4:07 of round 2
This was a kicking war, until Theodorou broke Narvaez's arm with one. The first round was pretty even but Elias landed the damaging kick early in the second and that was the beginning of the end for Narvaez as Theodorou started to take him apart and eventually got the TKO stoppage late in the second round. Theodorou remained undefeated and picked up his third UFC win, while Narvaez dropped to 1-2 in the promotion.
