Although we will likely never get to see Fedor Emelianenko fight again professionally, we may occasionally get to see him mimic fights at training seminars around the world.
WHOATV recently caught up with "The Last Emperor," who was in Dubai for a training seminar at the HM Fitness Centre. Eager fighters at the gym got the opportunity to work with the former PRIDE heavyweight champion, as he taught them everything from basic striking to the intricacies of grappling.
While Fedor's imparting his knowledge of the fight game onto young potential fighters was clearly appreciated by those in attendance, the heavyweight recently revealed that, to many fans' surprise, the latest generation of Russian fighters is not very keen on receiving help from the legend.
"I can see that I could help many our guys," Fedor said. "And more - I can see the mistakes that Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos use to make. Of course Velasquez is best in our time but I see his flaws. Still I can't understand why our fighters can't take what I could give them. Or they just don't want to take it."
