Confident, cocky...or both?
Conor McGregor hasn't officially claimed the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight title (though he has snatched it up a few times), but the fiery Irishman already has his sights set on another division champion in Rafael dos Anjos.
During the recent UFC 189 "World Tour," Conor made it a point to put the newly-crowned lightweight champion on notice, saying that once he takes care of Jose Aldo at UFC 189 on July 11, 2015, he plans on coming after him and his 155-pound belt for speaking his name in vain.
Check out his comments during a recent media luncheon (via MMA Fighting):
"We will take Aldo and we will take dos Anjos, without a problem. The featherweights must beg now. They must beg for pardon, beg for forgiveness. If that's the case, if they apologize and beg, I'll leave the division. I won't terrorize them anymore. They can have their division back. They can go back to being on the prelims and I'll go to the lightweight division."
And during the final stop in Dublin, Ireland (video replay here), McGregor had this to say to "RDA."
"So, guess what Rafeal? I'm coming to get you, too."
Fighting at lightweight wouldn't be uncharted waters for "Notorious," as he competed in the division plenty of times before, even earning the CFWC title back in 2012.
But would jumping up to face the best-of-the best the UFC has to offer at 155 pounds be too much for the confident brawler?
