"The New York Bad Ass" took to Twitter to call out "Stitch 'em Up" after the middleweight's loss to Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 136 this past Friday night (April 10, 2015). Schilling is more than willing to oblige Baroni and GLORY brass is considering it for their next event.
Phil Baroni hasn't competed in nearly a year, but he may have talked himself into a fight with Joe Schilling.
The near fifteen-year veteran began berating "Stitch 'em Up" before the two-sport athlete dropped a split decision to Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 136 on Friday night (April 10, 2015), and continued on afterward, saying he could defeat Schilling also.
I know the perfect next opponent @JoeSchilling187: I'd rather be exciting then undefeated he should be embarrassed @BellatorMMA @ScottCoker

Schilling, now 2-4 in MMA and ranked No.2 in the GLORY middleweight division, of course, responded:
@philbaroni that's cute I hope you get this fight you deserve to get retired by a champion

Things have heated up in the last two days with Baroni, who turns 39 on April 16, throwing out insult upon insult, homophobic slurs and other inappropriate insults, and Schilling returning the favor with insults of his own. Both Bellator and GLORY have been thrown into the discussion, but Schilling suggested GLORY 21, which takes place in less than a month on May 8, 2015.
Message from Phill Baroni. Dudes a real class act. And racist piece of shit. http://pic.twitter.com/IlcKSh0l1F

At first Baroni said May 8 wouldn't be an issue and that he would fight Schilling "tomorrow," but he has since back tracked, saying he need's "eight weeks" to train. Schilling jumped all over that response and is calling "The New York Bad Ass" a coward.
This just in @philbaroni wakes up hungover and admits he was drunk and a COWARD. Doesn't agree to fight Schilling MAY 8th. COWARD!!!

Baroni responded with more insults suggesting Schilling is afraid to let him have a full camp to prepare for him.
The back and forth on social media has ceased for the time being, and MMAMania has learned that GLORY is in fact having discussions about trying to put the fight together for the GLORY 21 card in San Diego on May 8th.
GLORY CEO Jon J. Franklin had this to say:
"If Joe and Phil want to fight under GLORY rules we would be excited to give them the forum to do so. Provided all the details and be worked out between the camps. And, if needed we would pull all strings to make this happen for May 8 in San Diego at GLORY 21."
Franklin also mentioned he "loved the idea of a 'winner take all' scenario for the fight.
Baroni is now 15-18 in MMA and last fought on July 25, 2014 at Bellator 122, where he lost by technical knockout in the first round to Karo Parisyan. Schilling is 2-4 in MMA, splitting his first two fights in Bellator. However, in kickboxing/muay thai, he holds an 18-7 record and is 5-2 in GLORY.
Schilling spoke to MMAMania and shed some light on the smack talk between he and Baroni.
"Phil Baroni started running his mouth about me, trying to get a fight because he's irrelevant," he said. "I said I'd fight him May 8th for GLORY and he said he needed 10 weeks and said he wanted to fight outside the country. I'm guessing so he can use steroids where they wouldn't test him. Phil is a pathetic child and coward."
GLORY 21 will be headlined by middleweight champion Artem Levin and Simon Marcus and a four-man heavyweight contender tournament.
