Just four fighters from this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 63 were issued medical suspensions following the event.
MMAjunkie today obtained the list of suspensions from the Virginia Boxing, MMA and Wrestling Advisory Board, which oversaw this past Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 63 event at Patriot Center in Fairfax.
Thankfully, no one from the FOX Sports 1-televised card received a lengthy term.
In fact, Dustin Poirier, who made a triumphant return to the lightweight division with a first-round thrashing of Diego Ferreira (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC), received the longest term. The commission suspended him for 60 days, though officials didn’t clarify the nature of the injuries that prompted the suspensions.
However, Poirier seemed in good spirits after the event (via Twitter):
Other suspensions included:
- Ricardo Lamas: suspended 30 days
- Milana Dudieva: suspended 30 days
- Shamil Abdurakhimov: suspended 30 days
