The UFC has lost another main event, as T.J. Dillashaw is out of his UFC 186 fight with Renan Barao. Details here.
Breaking news from the UFC: UFC Bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw is injured and out of his UFC 186 fight with Renan Barao. Dillashaw vs. Barao II was set to headline UFC 186 on April 25, but the fight has now been pulled from the card due to a fractured rib suffered by the champion.
The UFC has confirmed the news:
UFC President Dana White said Tuesday that TJ Dillashaw has sustained a rib fracture that will force a postponement of his much-anticipated UFC 186 bantamweight rematch against Renan Barao in Montreal on April 25.
White revealed the news during an interview with Los Angeles radio personality Kurt "Big Boy" Alexander on KRRL-FM 92.3.
Dillashaw's injury occurred during training on Monday, White said. There is no immediate timetable for his return.

Dillashaw won the UFC Bantamweight title from Barao in a massive upset last year at UFC 173. The two men were set to rematch at UFC 177 in August, however problems with Barao's weight cut landed him in the hospital and the challenger was pulled from the card. Dillashaw faced late replacement Joe Soto and successfully defended his UFC Bantamweight title. Barao has since returned to action with a win over Mitch Gagnon.
UFC 186 also featured a Flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi. No word yet on if that fight will simply be moved up to main event status, though that certainly is a likely possibility.
Also in the card is the return of Rampage Jackson against Fabio Maldonado, Michael Bisping vs. C.B. Dollaway, and Yves Jabouin vs. Thomas Almeida.
