UFC Fight Night 62: Latest Vegas odds, lines and betting guide for 'Maia vs LaFlare'

Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Fight Night 62 event that is set to hit Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this weekend (Sat., March 21, 2015,), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more.

Is the future coming?

Undefeated Welterweight prospect Ryan LaFlare cracked the Top 15 with his win over John Howard. Now, he has a chance to rise even higher, taking on hometown hero Demian Maia in the main event of UFC Fight Night 62, which takes place inside Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this Saturday evening (March 21, 2015) on FOX Sports 1.

In another clash of Prospect vs. Veteran, explosive X-Gym product Erick Silva will face late replacement Josh Koscheck, while grappling specialists Leonardo Santos and Tony Martin battle at 155 pounds.

It ain't exactly stacked, but it does have some good-looking odds.

Let's check them out.

UFC Fight Night 62 Odds For The Under Card:

Francisco Trinaldo (-190) vs. Akbarh Arreola (+165)

Kevin Souza (-230) vs. Katsunori Kikuno (+190)

Leandro Silva (-160) vs. Drew Dober (+140)

Leonardo Mafra (-155) vs. Cain Carrizosa (+135)

Christos Giagos (-200) vs. Jorge de Oliveira (+170)

Bentley Siler (-165) vs. Fredy Serrano (+145)

Thoughts: The man of the hour this week is Leandro Silva, favored insufficiently against Dober.

Bizarre victory over Jamie Varner aside, Dober has been consistently mediocre. He’s decent everywhere, but has no outstanding skills with which to control the fight. Silva, meanwhile, does. He showed a very solid grappling game in both his wins over Charlie Brenneman and in his loss to Francisco Trinaldo, the latter of which I scored for "Buscape."

I have a hard time seeing this as anything but a comfortable victory for the Brazilian; therefore, bet accordingly.

Giagos might also be worth a look. He’s a very solid prospect who had the misfortune of facing one of the best up-and-comers in the world, Gilbert Burns, in his Octagon debut. He shouldn’t have too much trouble with Oliveira.

UFC Fight Night 62 Odds For The Main Card:

Ryan LaFlare (-145) vs. Demian Maia (+125)

Erick Silva (-500) vs. Josh Koscheck (+400)

Leonardo Santos (-110) vs. Tony Martin (-110)

Amanda Nunes (-420) vs. Shayna Baszler (+335)

Gilbert Burns (-550) vs. Alex Oliveira (+425)

Andre Fili (-280) vs. Godofredo Castro (+240)

Thoughts: With four of the six ostensibly mismatches, I feel that what value there is lies in Santos.

Martin’s an extremely imposing Lightweight, possessing a very capable top game. The problem? Cardio. After solid starts against Rashid Magomedov and Beneil Dariush, Martin’s gas tank failed him and resulted in his eventual defeats. Santos -- an ADCC-caliber grappler -- has the skill to repeat Dariush’s effort, submitting a flagging Martin late in the fight.

Bet accordingly.
