The UFC on Saturday made official the locations for three upcoming events in three different parts of the country.
The UFC 192 pay-per-view will take place Oct. 3 at Toyota Center in Houston. UFC Fight Night 75 is set for Aug. 8 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. And UFC Fight Night 72 will go down July 15 at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego.
No headliners were announced for any of the three cards.
All three events were announced during Saturday’s UFC 185 broadcast, which took place at American Airlines Center in Dallas and aired on pay-per-view, FX and UFC Fight Pass.
When the UFC returns to Houston, it will be about two years since its most recent visit there. UFC 166 took place at Toyota Center in October 2013, and heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez dominated Junior dos Santos in their trilogy fight, which marks the champ’s most recent bout. UFC 136 and UFC 69 also took place in the country’s fourth largest city.
The promotion visited Nashville in January 2012 for its first card on FX after the broadcast deal with FOX was announced. Jim Miller submitted Melvin Guillard in the main event. The “Music City” also played host to UFC Fight Night 18 in April 2009.
It will be nearly five years between trips to San Diego when the UFC returns in July, though the Valley View Casino Center did play host to Ronda Rousey’s final Strikeforce title fight before she moved to the UFC. UFC on Versus 2 took place there in August 2010 and was headlined by a Jon Jones first-round TKO win over Vladimir Matyushenko.
