Clay Guida calls out the current UFC lightweight champion who he has already beaten before.
Clay Guida had an impressive win over Robbie Peralta, and he didn't waste time calling out his former opponent and current UFC lightweight champion in Rafael dos Anjos. The pair originally faced off back in 2010, with Guida winning by submission after breaking Dos Anjos' jaw.
"I want to congratulate Rafael Dos Anjos on his recent victory over Anthony Pettis, but hey, don’t forget about the guy who gave you those two metal things, that piece of titanium on your jaw!" Guida said during his post-fight interview at UFC: Fairfax. "Don’t forget where it came from. You’re holding on to my strap."
"When I went down to the 145 lb division, it was never permanent. So Joe Silva, Dana White, Sean Shelby, whenever you’re ready," he said. "Dana, you said this long ago I was your bonus guy, I want to be your super fight guy."
"Look out. I’m coming for you."
While never really mentioned as a title contender by most pundits, Guida has wins over respected Japanese champs in Hatsu Hioki and Tatsuya Kawajiri, along with victories over the last two lightweight title holders in Pettis and Dos Anjos.
