Shortly after announcing that Bellator MMA's "Unfinished Business" card in June would feature a Bobby Lashley vs. James Thompson rematch, the promotion came back with details on two more fights for St. Louis.
Fresh off the announcement that Bellator 138 "Unfinished Business" on June 19th would feature a rematch between "The Dominator" Bobby Lashley and "The Colossus" James Thompson, Bellator MMA came back to reveal two more fights.
The St. Louis supercard at the Scottrade Center now features two bouts with talents local to the Midwest. Welterweights Steve Mann (10-1) vs. Justin Guthrie (17-8) and strawweights Dan O’Connor (5-4) vs. Miles McDonald (0-1) will be broadcast during the Spike.com "preliminary" fights starting at 7 p.m. ET.
Mann is an Iowa prospect who has never seen a fight go past the first round, winning eight of 10 via submission. His opponent Guthrie is a well-traveled MMA veteran who has fought the likes of Gilbert Smith and Bobby Voelker.
The St. Louis native O'Connor has taken four of his five wins via submission (and suffered three of his four losses the same way), while McDonald lost by armbar in his professional debut back in 2014.
