The UFC has booked another slew of fights over the last week. Here is a quick rundown of what they put together.
Since the UFC has decided to produce 50+ events in 2015, there is a remarkable amount of fighter signings and new match-ups being set up throughout any given week. Many of these new signings are for match-ups that take place on the undercard, or on the Fight Pass portion of a PPV, so we are going to continue with a new weekly (or bi-weekly if needed) series of articles where we take a brief look at each and every bout booked by the promotion in one place.
UFC: Krakow
A pair of fights were rearranged for the UFC: Krakow event next month following injuries sustained to Peter Sobotta and Krzysztof Jotko. Instead, Sergio Moraes will meet Gasan Umalatov, while Polish prospect Bartosz Fabinski will debut against Garreth McLellan.
The injured Kenny Robertson has been replaced by Tim Means, who will now come up against George Sullivan on the UFC on FOX 15 card. That was not the only injury replacement on the card, as Beneil Dariush replaced Paul Felder against Jim Miller at that same event.
Welterweight Chris Clements replaced Claudio Silva against Nordine Taleb in Montreal next month.
UFC Fight Night: Cormier vs. Bader
Dagestan's Omari Akhmedov replaced the injured Alan Jouban, who was forced to withdraw from his scheduled encounter with Brian Ebersole.
TUF Latin American winner Alejandro Perez will cross paths with Patrick Williams at the UFC's planned return to Mexico in June. Lightweight Johnny Case will face Frank Trevino in a rebooking of a previously scrapped January fight.
