MMA legend Renzo Gracie has been brought in by World Series of Fighting to do color commentary on their next event.
Renzo Gracie still talks about fighting, but for now he'll settle for a spot in an announce booth. The 48-year-old MMA legend that he'll be joining World Series of Fighting as a color commentator for their upcoming WSOF 20 event at Foxwoods next weekend. WSOF executive Ali Abdel-Aziz confirmed the news to MMA Fighting.
Gracie will join Todd Harris in the booth, and WSOF president Ray Sefo will apparently make it a three-man commentary team for the main and co-main events of the show.
Renzo (13-7, 1 NC) had a long and celebrated fighting career, competing on everything from Brazilian shows where the fans rioted to the inaugual Pride show all the way up to UFC 112. He also has a storied reputation as a trainer, working with the likes of Chris Weidman and Frankie Edgar among others.
WSOF 20 will be headlined by a light-heavyweight tournament semi-final between Ronny Markes and WSOF middleweight champ David Branch. The card will also feature the promotional debut of Ben "Phoenix Jones" Fodor.
