UFC on FOX 16 fight card gets championship rematch, former champion and more

It's shaping up to be quite an impressive one-two punch for free television ...

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced earlier today (April 14, 2015) that it would return to Chicago, Ill., on July 25, 2015, with UFC on FOX 16.

And its bringing some big guns to "Windy City."

According to FOX Sports, the much-anticipated championship rematch between bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao will spearhead the event, which is set to go down inside the United Center. After getting canceled twice -- thanks to a botched weight cut and then a broken rib -- the title fight will finally come to fruition in "The Windy City."

Hopefully.

The co-headlining act will see the return of former Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis in his first fight since losing his belt to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 185 last month (video highlights). Looking to hand him his second straight loss is Myles Jury, the surging 155-pound stalwart whose progress was just halted by Donald Cerrone at UFC 182 earlier this year.

If that weren't enough, Miesha Tate will look to get herself back into title contention when she faces top contender Jessica Eye in main card action. The victor is expected to face the winner of the upcoming women's bantamweight title fight between Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia, which goes down at UFC 190 this summer.

Stacked ... so far!
